LGM Crispy Chilli in Oil
LGM crispy chilli oil, or Lao Gan Ma chili crisp, is a hot sauce filled to the brim with dried chili and crispy fried onion in a richly flavoured oil. LGM or Lao Gan Ma is the most famous brand of chili oil used throughout China.
Mix well before use for best flavour. Storing the oil in an air tight container can help maintain its freshness.
How do I use LGM crispy chilli oil?
Serve the crispy chilli condiment at the table with almost any dish – a spoon in a bowl of ramen, or a little on top of silken tofu with sesame and soy for breakfast. Lao Gan Ma crispy chilli also makes a great base for hot dipping sauces, served alongside won ton or prawn tempura.
