Silverwood Oval Game Pie Mould – 23cm
Create your own traditional style oval Game Pie using this ingenious 3 part Game Pie Mould from Silverwood. The sides of the pie mould are held in place in the frame during constructing and baking, but split into 2 when lifted out of the frame to easily release your individual pie without any risk of damage to your pastry case. Based on the traditional Game Pie shape, but can be used for any filled pastry pie you can imagine. This mould makes a 2kg/4lb pie.

Silverwood bakeware improves with use, frequent use will enhance their release properties as the ‘patina’ builds up. This causes a slight discolouration of the pans but is actually a microscopic build-up of a lubricant film. Greasing with natural fats such as butter or lard is recommended rather than manufactured fats such as margarine. Flavourless oils such Peanut/Ground nut oil are also ideal and will yield wonderful results without affecting the taste.
