BBQ Flavour Japanese White Eucalyptus Binchotan Charcoal, 5kg
Binchotan White Eucalyptus charcoal burns cleanly and evenly for up to four hours. Free from chemicals, this premium quality charcoal can be used on conventional barbecues and Shichirin tabletop grills. It produces a clean, consistent heat – ideal for cooking meat, seafood or skewers of paneer and vegetables.
Binchotan is the charcoal of choice for Japanese barbecues. It is smokeless and odourless so it won’t overwhelm the flavours of your food. For this reason, it is ideal for preserving the complex, delicate flavours of Japanese cuisine. Unlike other types of charcoal, it can be relit 2-3 times. Fire up the grill and use this superior charcoal to cook fish and seafood, slices of aubergine marinated in miso and yakitori (Japanese chicken skewers)

How to light Binchotan charcoal:
Use a gas burner, which takes about 15 minutes. Alternatively, first make a burning bed of softer charcoal, such as Acacia charcoal. Place the Binchotan coals diagonally on the charcoal bed and let them burn.
